Sudan Outreach

Sudan has traditionally been a place of refuge for Ethiopians in conflict. Our founder, Negest, fled with her babies to the United Nations Camps there in 1977 after her Naval Officer husband was eliminated by the communist Red Terror. During the recent Civil War, thousands more found safety there. While we cannot help everyone, we are committed to assisting the hundreds of children who have lost their parents and are alone in the world.

Blessing the Ethiopian refugee camps from Sudan

Um Rakuba Refugee Camp

Our team ministered for a week at this refugee camp providing clothing, food, shoes, and the good news of the Gospel to hundreds of children who had lost their parents as they escaped from a war zone in Ethiopia. At this camp, our team ministered to persecuted believers whose church building had been burned down by fanatical orthodox so they were forced to meet in a hidden location

Tanedba Refugee Camp

We were welcomed by local believers who allowed us to sleep in the camp, so we did not have to make the long 6 hour journey each day back and forth from our rented apartment. They also helped us locate and distribute two hundreds of Orphans some of whom had seen their parents killed before their eyes before they escaped to Sudan. Here we brought thousands of dollars worth of computers and medical supplies to our doctors in the camp who were building a new facility to help with trauma victims there
